Food Fare Friday

It's been a while since I posted a Food Fare Friday... so here we go.

This is a recipe I remember my Mom making when I was a kid. Not sure where it came from or why it is called Mission Hotdish, but that is what she always called it.
It is super easy and delish.

I used due cuts from Cricuts From The Kitchen cartridge to embellish the 8x8 page.
Hope you enjoy!

Graduation cards

Yup- that time of year when we all are making a graduation card for either a grade school, high school grad or in my case a couple college grads.
I used the Stampin' Up owl punch. I have had it for a while and had not used it yet. It is a very simple card, but I like how it turned out.
I hand cut the hat from some basic black paper and rolled a thin piece of paper around a toothpick for the scroll on his wing.

To all the graduates out there---Congratulations and best of luck for a successful future.

Die Cutti'n Diva's Weekly Challenge- Make a Shaped card

Hello everyone!
Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend celebrating Memorial Day- for those of us in the U.S.
Today kicks of a new Die Cuttin' Diva's weekly challenge. This week it is so super easy-- make a shaped card.
For my DT project, I made a chalkboard easel card that I saw on Pinterest
The little banner die cuts are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Simple Banner Shapes file set and the Layered Labels 2 file set.

I used a wood grain stamp for the boards and a stamp from My Creative Ttime that I heat embossed onto the black paper. With a little ribbon and twine I have a cute easel card.

I hope to see what shaped cards you come up with this week.

Celebrate with a cupcake!

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!

It's my DT day over at Stamp Annie Thing.  I have to say I am having so much fun playing with the Stamp Annie Thing stamps. This week I used the Our Lil' Cupcake set.
It's a small stamp set, but packs a punch with so many options of images and sentiments.

I stamped and colored the cupcake with markers. I then stamped and cut the image dress and frosting hair from matching card stock. The scallop border was made using an EK border punch. The banner was cut from the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge. I didn't have enough brown brads for the lower right corner of my card so I used brown stickles to simulate the brads I was looking for.

Sending you Days of Sunshine with PPPR Inspiration

It's design team day for me with my fantastic Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons design team friends.

Many times the svg file or paper will inspire my project. But this time, it was the sentiment that lead me to this final design.
This weeks project I made a step card. Now I know many of us have made step cards, but I gotta tell ya, it sure was nice just to open up the PPPR svg file for the base and click cut on the cameo. No measuring, cutting and scoring to try and get the folds just right.

I used the following PPPR files to create my beachy card....Side Step Card,  Little Swimmers, Sea Life, and Fishy Friends.

If you have not been over to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store lately, you must go here now!
Lisa has added so many new files in the last couple weeks I can hardly keep track of them all. She also has a weekly freebie that you don't want to miss out on.

Don't forget to stop by the PPPR blog to see what my Design Team pals have created for you this week. A-maz-ing is all I can say.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge: Use a bike

It's time for a new Die Cuttin' Divas challenge. This week we celebrate National Bike week. That means the design team is asking everyone to design a project with a bike on it.
My bike project was done using the bicycle from the Heritage Cricut cartridge. This image does not come with any layers. Therefore, I cut the bike several times from several different colored papers and cut away the portions I didn't want from each.
I used an old Creative Memories micro punch for the blue flowers in the basket. The sentiment is form My Creative Time.

I really like how this turned out. Looks like the bike is leaning up against an old barn or shed in the country.

The design team has come up with all kinds of "bike" inspiration for you. Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Divas blog to take a look and then link up your project.

I will be looking for you.

You Make Me Smile

Hope you all had a great weekend. I think spring has finally here to stay. My gardens are starting to come to life as I anxiously wait to see what I may have to replace.

It is my DT day over at Stamp Annie Thing.

My little project today is inspired by the spring weather and the  Here's the Dirt stamp set.
This little girl, whom I've named Annie, is just the sweetest little thing. This adorable stamp set has so many cute images that can be used all year round.

I stamped the image and colored most of her with my copic markers. I then stamped and fussy cut her outfit from matching papers that I used on the card base.
The scallop mat is from the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge. I can't remember where I got the flowers from, but there are many options out there. I cut one from white card stock so I could stamp the sentiment.  I also added some twine, a button and some lace to the bottom border.

Check out this stamp set and all the others from Stamp Annie Thing  here.

What's at the end of your rainbow?

Today is the start of a new Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge. This week we want to see your project using rainbow colors. It could be a rainbow or just a project with all the rainbow colors.
I decided to go old school and use metal dies and punches instead of using my Cameo or Cricut -(Gasp)!
I know....how can this be? Well, quite simply. I used a metal pocket shaped die from My Creative Time and then my old heart punches form Creative Memories. I hand cut the sentiment flag. The sentiment is from the same My Creative Time die and stamp set as the pocket die.

I added a couple buttons and some pen doodles to complete my pocket full of rainbow hearts card.

I look forward to seeing the rainbow of projects this week from all of you.

Cool Hombre Excitement!

I am so excited today because today is my first post as the new DesignTeam Member over at Stamp Annie Thing. I was so excited to be asked to join...thanks Ann!

So for my first post as a Stamp Annie Thing DT member, I decided to use the One Cool Hombre stamp set
This is a 4 X 6 stamp set which is great for Cinco De Mayo, a fiesta party invite or in my case, to use it for the many, many photos of Mexico vacations.
I simply pulled out my copic markers to color this cute little guy using the bright colors in my paper as the color pallet and inspiration. The stamp set also comes with the some fun little borders which I used on the left side of my card, as well as several sentiments that go along with all the images.
Now those Maracas...what a great little cut file you can find here. They added that little extra to my card.
I finished off my card with a brad, some twine and some stickles.

If you would like to purchase this stamp set or any others from Stamp Annie*Thing, click on the logo....

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team Day!

Oh my goodness, I think spring has finally arrived in MN! I didn't think it was ever going to get here.

In addition to the nice weather, it's also Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  Lisa has some great spring file sets and some awesome new digital papers in her store. I used some of them for my spring card today.

After I had everything pieced together, I added some glossy ascents to his rain boots, coat trim and his glasses.

I used the Rainy Day Critters, Scalloped Circles, and Layered Tags 1 cut files for this project.
I also used papers from the digital paper pack, Spring Fling. I just love that cloud print paper!

Please take time to stop by the PPPR blog to see the amazing projects the entire Design Team has to share with you today.

Time for another Die Cuttin' Diva challenge

Wow, the week flew by and it's time of another DCD challenge. This week we have a fun, yet challenging  sketch.

This is what I ended up with following the sketch.
I used the Yee Haw Cricut cart for my lil' cowboy and Fabulous Finds for the tags and hinges.
The face is from Peachy Keen and sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

I look forward to seeing your take on this weeks sketch.
