You make my heart bubble over!

I love the look and simplicity of the valentine cards from the 40's and 50's. Here's my version.

The new kawaii champagne bottle and bucket cut files from SVG Cutting files are perfect for this style of Valentine cards. The sentiment was done using the print and cut feature on the Cameo. I added a few extra hearts  and a few doodles with the gel pen.

You Stole My Heart!

Hey everyone, I have been busy working in Las Vegas this week. I hope to get back to a regular posting on this blog after next week.

In the meantime it is my design team day for Digi My World. I am using a fun new image in the store, this adorable Love Bandit

I colored it using the Silhouette software and then cut it out. I added some foam tape to pop him up on my wanted poster background. I love the wanted poster look.

You can find this image along with many others for Valentine's day here.

Chocolate Treat Box.

Hey there, I have a super quick post and project for you today.  I am using a heart and wings die cut from Lil' Cupid Girls file over at SVG Cutting  Files.
This is a treat box that is small, but holds a lot! It holds 4 Ghiradelli chocolate squares.
The top folds over the top and tucks in under the die cut on the front.
The trick is to put the foam tape near the bottom of your design so there is room for the flap to tuck in. See, there are those chocolate squares!
I found the tutorial for this treat box here. However, once I did it, I decided to re-create it in my Silhouette Software so I could cut it out quickly whenever I want to. They are so cute and are such a cute little gift or party favor.

For the border flap I used an EK border punch and then tied it up with some red twine. The sentiment is from My Craft spot which I heat embossed with white embossing powder. I also added some blue chalk on the edges of the wings as well as a touch of glitter.

Lil' Cupid treats!

Yeah its Friday!! This week the Design Team over at SVG Cutting Files  has been showcasing some new files being released in the store today.
I did a couple projects using the new Lil Cupid Girls for you today. Yes, in this set you get both of these adorable little cupids.

My first project is a one I have done a few times. What can I say, it's an oldie but goody treat holder. It holds a roll of lifesaver candies.
It's quite simple and takes only a couple sheets of 4x6 paper. You can find the tutorial here.
I sized my die cut to 2" and added her with some foam tape.

The second project is also an oldie but goody, the 6" tube and tube holder filled with treats.
I think I have done a version of this for just about every holiday. They are so cute sitting next to the computer or phone at work not to mention the treats inside. This cupid was cut at 2.75".
The tube holder and the Lil' Cupid Girls can be found in the SVG Cutting Files store now.

For both projects,  I used PKS face stamps and sentiments from My Creative Time.

Digi My World Sneak Peek!

It's release week over at Digi My World and this week the design team is giving you some sneak peeks at what new images are about to hit the store the end of the week. You are going to LOVE this release. So stinkin' cute and in time to start those Valentine cards.
I did a shaped card to share with you today. I am using an image from the Puppy Love set. The Silhouette software makes it easy to do a quick little shaped card. I'm thinkin' if you have kiddos and need 30+ valentine cards for school, this is the way to go.

The image is so cute, yet simple so takes no time to color her. Be sure to stop by the DMW blog to see all the previews. You don't want to miss out.

Have a Crafty Day!!

SVG Cutting Files challenge- any card!!

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, the theme this month is "any card". Yahoo-- this should have all of you jumping to enter a project. I know you all make beautiful cards, I see them on your blogs all the time! Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files.
Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by February 14. There is a great prize up for grabs.
For my card, I have jumped right into Valentine's Day card making. I think it's because I was ready for something other than Christmas. Not to mention, SVG Cutting Files is releasing these super cute cupid kids this week. I couldn't resist.

I used a postage stamp card base and then this soon to be available cupid girl. Gotta love how those PKS face stamps and how they bring images to life.

I know several of you got new Cameos for Christmas, so I will be looking for your cards linked up for this challenge!!

You're Moo-velous!

Hello Everyone.
Boy,  it's been a busy week for me and that's kept me away from crafting and my blog.
As many of you know,  I am a meeting planner and this is the busiest time of the year for me. That means less time to craft unfortunately. I just need to make it through a couple more weeks then I can get back to crafting on a regular basis again.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons has a new challenge today and the theme is Love.
With this theme for inspiration I created a Valentines treat box.

I came across this cute gable box in the Silhouette store a few weeks ago. Once the box was put together, I added this adorable Valentine's Cow from PPPR found here.
I used the print and cut feature on the Silhouette. I printed and cut the cow in three parts. First the entire image, then just the head followed by the nose/horns. I attached the smaller layers with foam tape so he has a 3D look.

I used the Farm Candies Udderly Adorable stamp sets and Mini Tag Dies all from Jaded Blossom for the images on the candies and the sentiment for the box. I sealed it up with some black tulle. It measures a little over 5" tall when all finished. I love how it turned out.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! Today is my first post of 2014 and my design day over at Digi My World
I used an adorable clip art image from the DMW store that an be found here. He comes pre-colored or black & white should you wish to color him yourself.  For this card, I used the pre-colored image.
I simply printed and then cut the image into a circle. From there I matted the circle along with the other strips of themed papers. The papers are digital Lilly Bimble. I like that they are shades of blue and not all black and gold. I printed the sentiment myself and then added a button with a bow to top off this New Year card.

Hope you have a crafty 2014!!

New Years Treats

It's the New Year and 2014!!

It's been a while since I have entered a challenge lately and thought I would put together a little something to play along.

I did these little treat boxes for neighbors to celebrate the new year.
I started with a treat bag from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. I used the fit to page setting on the cricut which yielded a finished size of approximately 5" tall. Just room enough for a pack of cocoa mix and some chocolate.
The animal die cuts area a mash up of several files in order to get the new years party animal feel I wanted.
I used the print and cut feature and then cut the top hat by itself to pop it up with foam tape for dimension.
Here's how I did it.....
Treat bag: Artiste Cartridge
Ribbon: My Craft Spot and Stampin' Up.

I am linking these treat bags to the following challenge:
