Today is Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
This past weekend I was scrapping with a couple friends. Nothing like a couple days of crafting to relax and not think about anything else.
The challenging part of these scrap weekends is to figure out what to bring without bringing the entire craft room.
I decided to work on my recipe scrap pages and of course a few cards in between.
I love all the fun winter cut files Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
The Snow Peeps set and the Snowflakes set were a perfect fit for my Snow salad recipe page.
Don't forget to stop over and check out what the other DT members have come up with this week.

Let's Roll
This week the Challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva's is Tic-Tac-Toe or selecting a row of items form a board and create a project. My project is a cute treat holder for a roll of hard candies.
I used the far right column of the challenge tic-tac-toe board.
Distressed (edge of paper is torn)
Stitching ( around sentiment and on roller skates)
Ribbon (ribbon to tie the package together)
I cut the roller skates/layers at 2.5" from the Nifty Fifties cartridge. I did not cut the laces layer since I used twine to lace up the skates.
The flower is from an old CM punch
The sentiment is my own typed and printed from my computer.
You can find a tutorial for this paper favor in my original post here.
I look forward to seeing what you create using the Tic-Tac-Toe board as you inspiration.

Go Green!
I am back again with another "green" project. This one inspired by the My Craft Spot challenge Pop it Up!
If any of you are making St. Patrick's Day cards, you may have found or should I say not found many St Patrick's cuts. I tend to keep going back to the old standby leprechaun in the Simply Charmed cartridge. However, I completely forgot I had another file from Lettering Delights called Luck of the Irish.
I went to work making a cute treat holder using a svg file from svg cutting files. I used foam tape to pop up the face from the rest of the body. The face is a new set of face stamps from Peachy Keen. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I just need to fill it with treats!
Cheers for Beer!
Yup- working on some St Patrick's day cards. When I think of St. Patrick's day, I think of pots of gold, rainbows, leprechauns and green beer.
So I decided to combine a few of these things into a shaped card today.
I put the leprechaun on a wobble so he looks like he is doing a little jig. LOL.
I am going to be posting this over at CardzTV for the Luck of the Irish challenge going on.
Here's how I did it...
Card base cut at 5.5" from Everyday Pop up cards
Leprechaun cut at 3' from Simply Charmed and attached with a wobble
Face stamped with Peachy Keen stamps
Sentiment from Pink by Design

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge-get ready to "bear" it!
That's right, this week the challenge over at Die Cuttin' Diva's is to use a polar bear on your project.
Wow- I know what you are thinking, polar bear...really? But that's what challenges are all about--getting you to think of things you normally wouldn't to create something fabulous.
When searching for polar bears I was surprised to see how many cricut cartridges have polar bears.
I am sure there are several SVG files as well like the one I used from Lettering Delights.
So get your thinkin' cap on, I am can't wait to see what polar bear projects you come up with.
Here's how I did it....
Base card is A2 size on white card stock
Pattern papers from the 6x6 Snowy Day Bo Bunny paper pack
Circles cut at 3.5" and 3"
Polar bear/owl from Lettering Delights Eskimo Pie svg set
Banner die cut from My Creative Time
Sentiment from CardzTV
Snowflakes made with CM mini punch
Stickles on the snowflakes and glossy accents on the animal noses

Food Fare day
Usually I do the Food Fare posts on Friday, however I realize it has been a very long time since I posted a Food Fare Friday. I need to catch up on this I guess.
So here we go, a Food Fare on Monday!!
I saw that Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday is Kiss the Cook.
This was the perfect nudge I needed to get back on track with my recipe scrapbook.
This recipe is for a seasoning mix we use just about on everything. The recipe came form a family friend many years ago. She never really had a recipe that I recall, just had everything in her head. This was her secret to the best fried chicken ever. She was an amazing cook.
Not sure when or how, but my mom got the measurements/ingredients from her and from then on that is the only way my mom made fried chicken.
My husband and I use it now on just about everything. Have to say, I don't fry chicken, but we do a lot of grilling. It's our go to seasoning mix in our cupboard.
Here's how I did it...
Base is 8x8
Pattern paper is a two sided paper from TPC Studio
The S&P shakers were cut at 2.25" from the From My Kitchen cartridge
The bear/layers cut at 3.25" from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge
The title is cut at 1" from the Mickey Font cartridge
Doodles with my pens.
The inspiration over at Fantabulous Cricut is worth a click of the mouse to head over there.

Best Fishes!
Hope you are all enjoying a relaxing weekend.
I was catching up today on all the blogs I follow and see that My Sherri Crafts has a new "Fishy" challenge this week.
A while back, when I first had gotten the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge, I had cut several bears in different sizes. I even put a few together and set them aside, knowing one day the perfect time and project would be there waiting for them.
Well, one of those bears was this little guy dressed to go fishing.
So when I saw My Sherri Crafts: Time to go Fishin' Challenge I knew I had found the home for that little bear.
Here's how I did it....
Base card made using my Silhouette software; circles and rectangle welded together.
Base card measures 4.25" square
White & red circles for Bobber cut at 4".
The bear was cut at 2.25" from Teddy Bear Parade cart
Fish punched using CM punch
Tag Die and sentiment from My Craft Spot
Sentiment on Bobber from My Pink Stamper
Twine from Twinery and doodles with my pen.

Happy Valentine's Day
Just want to do a quick post to wish all of you a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Here is another card I sent out to so friends. The little dog is from Lettering Delights. I used the shimmering paper from Creative Memories so the dogs coat would shine.
I didn't have the right size black buttons I wanted in the upper right corner so I simple made a black dot with a marker and then added Glossy Accents on top to make it look like buttons.
Have a fantastic day!

Think snow--Oh no!
It's Design Team day for me over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I know many of use in the blog world have been impacted or know of someone that was by all the snow in the Northeast. The Midwest also got snow over the weekend. When will spring come is what I want to know.
So with all this snow in the news and top of mind, I decided to make a playful snow card today with the Snow Much Fun cut file set from PPPR.
It's been a while since I did a step card. I really should do them more. They're more than a card, they're like a mini story book once you add all the little pieces to the different layers which is my problem for not doing more of them. I tend to go overboard on the extras and before I know it 5 hours have gone by.
The story for my card is embrace and love the snow.
Yes, when you get 24, 30 or even 40 inches of snow, make the best of it and play in it!

I'm out of this world excited!!
Wow- I am so happy to announce today is my first post as the new Design Team member over at Die Cuttin' Divas.
I was so excited when Georgiana and the others invited me aboard.
I am looking forward designing and getting to know this wonderful group of ladies.
Now back to business and my first post for Die Cuttin' Divas. This weeks challenge theme is a color challenge and more specifically use white and pick either red, pink, and/or purple. Now that screams options, right...not to mention valentine's day is right around the corner so super easy.
I decided to do a card with a bit of a masculine feel. It is so easy to make the frilly flowers, hearts, etc for cards, but what about the cards for boys. Robots of course!!
My background was made using a pie chart from the silhouette online store. You can find more info on the background in my past post here.
Now be sure to jump over to see what the other DT members have to share with you and link up those projects because we have an awesome sponsor this week...

A long crafty day for me- Yeah!
I am back from a long week in Orlando working. So today, we are having a snow storm. Nothing like the NE saw, but we are expecting 8-12 inches of snow. Therefore, I declare today an all day craft day for me. I have chili in the crock pot and peanut butter M&M's....I am ready.
So to start my crafty day, I made a couple valentine cards for some challenges out there to jump start my crafty day.
As many of you may know, I am a huge fan of Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons svg files. Well, when Lisa released this set of super cute safari animals, I couldn't wait to use them.
These little animals are sooo super cute not to mention all the other recently released files she has. Check them out now and take advantage of the sale going on as well....25% off purchase of $10 or more!
Now back to my project.
I made these three 3x3x kids themed Valentine cards. I used the PPPR layered labels 1 for the base by welding two together. I sized all the animals to fit and then used a sentiment from Pink by Design Be Mine stamp set to finish them off. Of course I had to add some dimensions, doodles and twine as well.
Now I said there were some great challenges out there this week. So, I am going to link this up to the following challenges.
Please be sure to stop by each blog and take a look at all the inspiration projects these wonderful DT have done and maybe leave a comment to let them know how great they are.
CardztTV Kidz Kardz challenge
DL Art- thankful Thursday link up party
Everyday is an Occasion Sunday Fun day challenge
Pumpkin Spice Valentine challenge
Little Scrap Pieces Love is in the Air Challenge
Celebrate the Occasion valentine with Ribbon challenge

Lovin' that Scotty dog
One last valentine card, maybe....I found a pretty heart border on the silhouette store and of course that cute Scottie dog from the Lettering Delights set. The red and white really helps the black of the dog stand out.
A simple sentiment and my card is ready to go in the mail.
Have a super weekend.
