As you read this post, I am more than likely enjoying a cold tropical drink on the deck of my over-water bungaloo in Bora Bora. Yes, I have the best job in the world!

I did a card using the hula girl from the Luau digital set. 

I colored and then printed this digi in the Silhouette software. I then layered it up using different papers from some Echo Park and Doodle bug 6x6 paper packs.
The sun in the background is a cut file called Kawaii Sunshine from SVG Cutting Files.

Food Fare- Apple Dumplings!

Hey everyone. It's been ages since I posted a Food Fare recipe.

As you may remember, I am trying to scrap all the family favorite recipes along with new ones I find that I want to be sure to not lose. You can see some of them under the Food Fare link in my blog banner.

Well, I tied a new quick and easy recipe I found on Pinterest recently and I gotta say it was a hit, so I scrapped it!

Today is my design day over at Digi MyWorld and I found the perfect digi for my recipe page, this little chef. from the Little Pizza man digital image set.

I colored him up using my Silhouette software. I added an extra layer behind him before cutting him out. The sign board also is a digi in the same set, what a bargain!

This recipe page came together really quick just as the recipe is. If you need a quick dessert this spring, try this recipe, it wont disappoint.

Happy Monday. It's my design day over at Jaded Blossom. I have a treat box to share today using a stamp from the Perfect Match that was released in March.

I have seen many versions of this box out there using a sizzix die. I don't have that die nor a sizzix to use it in so I had to create my own version. 

The box opens on the bottom for easy filling of treats. I added scallop borders to the front and embossed them to look like ruffles on the dress. 

I then added sequins for the flowers at the waist. 

I hand cut the tag after stamping this wonderful sentiment from the Jaded Blossom Perfect Match stamp set.

Never Enough Chocolate.

Got Eggs?

Yup- aren't these little chicks cute. Just a few last treats for some friends on Easter. 

These need to travel well and far so these little packages of goodness are perfect to fit in my bag.

The chick is a file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the "got eggs" is a sentiment from My Creative Time. 

I printed three layers for each chick. The whole chick itself, then just his body with face, and finally the beak. I attached the body to the whole image with foam tape and then glued the beak. 

This is a quick way to get that look of paper piecing without cutting all the tiny parts, especially when you are doing multiples. The pillow envelopes measure 2"x3" just enough room for a few Reese's eggs.

So,  I have one extra chick but no more pillow boxes and I really need 5 treats. Fortunately,  I had to make a stop at Walgreen's last night and saw this mini Ghirardelli package.

For this one, I used the Jaded Blossom Treat Topper Die.  Once I had my paper cut with the die,  I cut that in half and glued it right onto the candy package. The sentiment for this one is from the JB Easter Treats 3 and the grass is from the Spring Dies set. 

Now I have 5 treats for my 5 clients that are traveling with me today.

Check Mate!

Happy Friday. It's my design day at SVG Cutting Files and I am working with a brand new file in the store today, Chess!

This set comes with several chess piece. I couldn't decide which to make for my project so I cut all of them and made a series of cards. I am warning you now, there are lots pf pictures in this post.

The base of each card is the Mini Notecard Bases set. I sized them to be 4" square.

I did a print and cut for the white mat and sentiment.

Each card has the common layers of card stock, white, red and black check so they all coordinate.

Then was the fun part, pairing up and deciding which game piece should be on which card.

More Bunny Treats

Have you seen the newest bunny file over at SVG Cutting Files. It is super duper cute, I just had to use it!

I did a simple little basket treat. I put some chocolate treats in a 1x8 cello bag and attached that to a strip of paper that measures 1 5/8" x 8.5"

I cut a strip of paper that was 3" x 1/2" to go around the treats. That gave me the base to attach my bunny to. You don't need to do this, you could attached the die cut directly to the candy bag.

Hoppy Easter Treats

Wow- it's Wednesday already. I have just a couple days left before Easter to get a few more Easter projects done. Here is the latest treat idea. 

For my Topper I used some pattern digital paper and svg files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. 

I added a PKS face to the bunny and a little rick rack. 

The treat is a simple ordinary Ding Dong that I drizzled with white chocolate and fun sprinkles. They look so fancy now.

SVG Cutting Files Challenge-Something for mom, grandma, wife or daughter.

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, the theme this month is "something for mom, grandma, wife or daughter". It can be a card, treat box, anything.  Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files. 

Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by May 14. AS always, there is a great prize up for grabs.

For my project, I used the Sunflower Cindy file set. It's one of my all time favorites especially for spring, summer and for anyone who loves gardening. 

I did two different versions of this card for Mother's Day. 

When making cards, I try to make two of the same to help build my stash. 

I layered pattern papers from the many, many 6x6 paper packs I have, added some matching ribbon and the cards are ready for mailing.

Peeps on a Stick!

Was working on several projects this weekend including some last minute Easter treats.
I know you have all seen these around the web, but I couldn't resist making some for my friends who love peeps.

Once I kabob'd the little chicks, I slide them into a bag and tied them up with some twine and a quick tag.

and added a tall back to it. The box measures approximately 1.5" square.

The sentiment from the Let's Toast stamp set is stamped on a die cut using the JB flag die.

I also added a little tag around the bottle using the Mini Tag dies and Happy Hour candies stamps.

Jaded Blossom Release Day!!

And for Friday's project, I did a special coffee gift card using this last stamp set called Random Act of Kindness. 

The base of the card is from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. I layered some black and white card stock for the base of the sentiment.Because this is a gift card for coffee, I added the coffee cup logo by modifying the Nerdie Coffee SVG Cutting Files die to say Just Because.

Remember, I said this was a "Special" gift card. One that kinda keeps on giving!

The card base comes with a pocket for a gift card. I then used the Gift card Die from Jaded Blossom to add a second card. 

The sentiment on the front reads...

"Dont' let this Random Act of Kindness stop her, pass it on". 

So in the spirit of this sentiment, one gift card is for the recipient of the card and the second is for that person to pay it forward and give to someone else. 

 On Sunday, April 13, I am going to pick one lucky follower to send this card to.

Jaded Blossom Release week Day 4 - Say Cheese!

I can't believe we are on day 4 of the Jaded Blossom April release week already. 

Today I have a card to share with you that I did using today's stamp set, Olive You.

My card starts with a card base from SVG Cutting Files here. I then layered black and yellow papers and finally a photo frame with that adorable little mouse. That mouse is from SVG Cutting files and can be found here. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white.

Down on the Farm!

Today is my Design day at Digi My World.
I was looking through all the categories of the different digital stamps there are and came across this adorable set called Old MacDonald. What a cute set with so many images!
I thought they would be fun to use to make a set of note cards to send to friends, or to put in kids lunch boxes.

I brought all the digital images into the Cameo software, colored and cut them out.

The base card and mat are from the SVG Cutting Files store here. I also colored the mat that comes with the card base using the print and cut feature as well. 

All the sentient on the stamps are from the Jaded Blossom Udderly Adorable stamp set. The finished size of each card is 4" square.

Wow- it's day 3 of the Jaded Blossom April release week!

We have another stamp set to reveal today. I used this stamp set to make my tag for my gift box. This box is the perfect size for a small bottle of champagne.

The bottle gift box is new from and in the SVG Cutting Files store today. 

The friend I am giving this to collects lighthouses which explains the nautical theme of the box. You can find the lighthouse file here.

I added a tag using the Jaded Blossom Treat Tag die with a sentiment found in the For the Hostess stamp set.

Jaded Blossom April Release - Sweet Dreams

Welcome to Day 2 of the Jaded Blossom release week!

I am back using the wine tag die we showed you yesterday but this time as a bedtime treat. How sweet to treat anyone with a bottle of water and a little chocolate on the night stand just like the fancy hotels do. 

After putting together my tag, I added a little box holder to the front that is sized perfectly to slide a Ghirardelli chocolate square into. 

This little pocket dies come from the SVG Cutting Files as is the Moon and clouds.

I added a tag with a sentiment found in the For the Hostess stamp set.
