I'm here today with a patriotic card featuring a new cut file being released in the SVG Cutting Files store on Friday. Yeah- that's today!!

This set is called the Sailor/Navy add-on for the popular paper dolls found here. 

There are many parts to this new set but I used just one, the sailor outfit.

The back of one of the pattern papers had a flag pattern and just happened to be the perfect size for the little flag in my sailors hand. 

The new file set includes this sailor outfit along with a light house, seagull, small ship, letter in a bottle, and more. 

The sentiment is from My Creative Time with pattern papers and stars from Doodlebug.

A Dancing Graduate Card.

It's graduation season and I have had a few cards to do this year. For this one I used the Graduation file from SVG Cutting Files along with the card base found here.

I attached the joyful graduate to the base with a wobble so she is truly jumping for joy. 

The black stripes at the bottom are done with some new Doodlebug washi tape I found at the local craft store. It says congratulations on it. I like how it is more narrow than most washi tape. 

For the inside I repeated the washi tape and a little orange being the school colors are orange and black. All I need to do now is insert a gift card and off to the post it goes.

What does the fox say?

Hello Wednesday! Yes, it's Wednesday already. Coming off a long weekend makes for a following short work week. We had a great weekend even though we did lots of work in the yard putting down new mulch, weeding, and planting annuals. The weather was finally warm enough to get that all done. 

Months ago I did some lollipop holders using the Chibi Forest Animal Lollipop Covers from SVG Cutting Files. Well, when I was making them, I size the fox wrong (too small) and had it all pieced together by the time I realized it. Instead of tossing it away, I stuck it in a folder to use later. Welcome to LATER!

I made a wrap for the square lollipop (Sees brand) with a hole punched for the stick to fit through and then attached my little fox to it. 

I added a little tag with a sentiment that I typed and printed on my computer. The tag die is from the Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies. 

I like these little chibi animals this size. I may have to make some others.

Radio-active Treats!

Happy Monday! Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend. 

It's design day for me over at Jaded Blossom and I have a little treat to share with you. 

I recently ordered the Dainty Topper Die. I can't believe I did not have this in my collection before now.  I had to use it as soon as it arrived in the mail. 

The topper shape was perfect for my little "radioactive" design. I love the bright colors for this little package.

The scientist cut file is from SVG Cutting Files Science Rocks collection which paired nicely with the sentiment. 

I wrapped some chocolates with coordinating papers and added some stamps before packaging everything up.  Here's how how the entire package looks.

Hello everyone, it's design day over at Digi My World.  I did a card today using an image from the Sock Monkey Mayhem set.  They are so, so cute!!

I layered some coordinating papers after coloring and cutting my image using the silhouette design studio. The sentiment can be found here in the Jaded Blossom store.

SVG Cutting Files Monthly Challenge- 3-2-1

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, this month we're shaking it up and doing a 3-2-1 challenge. That means make a project with 3 of something, 2 of something, and 1 of something.  It can be a card, treat box, anything.  Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files. 

Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by June 14. As always, there is a great prize up for grabs. 

It's graduation season so I thought this would challenge me to get one of those cards done. I used 3 pattern papers, 2 buttons and 1 piece of lace. 

This Graduation Owl is perfect for grad cards and the best part, it's a freebie!

For the inside, I  used the Jaded Blossom Gift card die to make a spot to add a gift card.

National Day of Caring

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a great week. 

Last week at work, our company organized a company wide volunteer effort called National Day of Caring. All employees across the nation were encouraged to volunteer as a group in the community last Friday. 

As some of you may know, I am what they call a virtual employee, meaning I work from home. Therefore, it is a bit different when trying to do things in the office like this. So, for us virtual folks, they set up a couple opportunities one being drawing picture(s) for children who are in shelters, via Draw-A-Smile.

Well, I do not draw well, but I can cut and glue paper so I got to work creating my first picture for the kids. 

This measures 12" square. The background is 2 different digital papers from the  Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Man Oh Man and Christmas Brights Circles and Spots paper packs that I printed first. I didn't want to many glued pieces since I needed them to hold up not knowing where they would be sent to or where they would be posted. 

The cute dinosaurs are from the SVG Cutting Files store here as are the trees and volcano. I added the sentiment by typing and printing it on the computer. I love how it turned out. But it was a bit boyish for me. 

So, I got to work making something for what I think the little girls might like to see. 

The background again is digital paper from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Christmas Brights Flourish paper pack.

The adorable little Fairy Girl is from SVG Cutting Files. 

And I couldn't stop there...this one might just be my favorite.

My heart breaks to think that there are children in shelters of any kind, but hope these pictures might make a few of them smile while there.

Say Cheese!

Happy Monday! It's a design day for me over at Jaded Blossom. 

I've got a little treat bag to share with you today using a couple things from the Jaded Blossom store. 

I just love this little mouse. Makes me smile. 

The topper is done using the  Fancy Topper Die and the sentiment is from the Olive You stamp set. That mouse is from SVG Cutting files and can be found here. 

I added some ribbon and doodles with my white and black pen.

Jaded Blossom May Release Day 4 - We go together...

We are at day four of the Jaded Blossom Release week. 

I found these Jelly Belly peas and carrots a while ago just waiting for the perfect project to use them and here we are. 

I filled a JB treat box with the candy peas and carrots. 

I used the Candy Wrap die for the base for my sentiment from the 

new stamp set, We go Together Like..

To add a little humor and character, I added the little veggie family from the a SVG Cutting Files called Peas and Carrots.

It's my design day over at Digi My World. 

I found this cute little bee image in the store called Cute as Can Bee. It comes with a few different versions all in one set.

No, I didn't color them with markers this time. I used the clipart images. I love using these adorable clipart images when I need a card quickly but still want it to look like I spent a bunch of time making it. 

I brought my image into the Silhouette Design Studio, added a border and clicked print. It was so super fast, My card was done in about 20 minutes. 

I added some lace trim and a sentiment from My Scarppy Moms Stamps Little Critter stamp set to finish it off.

Jaded Blossom May Release Day Three - Love my PC.

Hello and welcome to day Three of the Jaded Blossom May Release week!

I have a super cute computer treat box designed by Ann over at SVG Cutting files 

and it is the perfect stage for today's featured stamps. 

I assembled the box and then added the picture on the screen using a file from the La Vecindad- The Neighborhood cute file set also from SVG Cutting Files.

The top of the box opens for easy access to the treats. 

The slider card would be perfect to attached an actual photo of a friend, loved one or family pet. It's a PC picture frame!

Jaded Blossom May Release Week Day Two - Movie Time!

Yeah- we are at day two of the Jaded Blossom May release. We get to show you two more stamp sets for this month. 

I did a card that does double duty a a card and a gift card holder. The ticket add on stamps are great to custom create any special sentiment. Check out the movie negative stamp. Yes it's a stamp, and one of many from the Designer Tapes stamp set. You can now create and stamp your own Washi tape any time and in any color. How cool is that!

The pocket on the front holding the moving tickets is an svg file from the SVG Cutting Files store called Tip pocket.  I just attached it sideways to my card to fit my design. I added the popcorn and movie reel from the Movie Night file.

Jaded Blossom May Release Week- Magic Happens!

It's day one of the Jaded Blossoms May release week. 

Wow, there are some amazing stamps in this release!

I have a magical little treat box to share with you today. It is meant to look like the iconic sorcerers hat at Walt Disney World. 

The hat was originally a witch hat file for Halloween that I found here. 

I had to get creative to add those ears on the side of the hat. 

The sentiment was stamped on a tag using the Flag die.

The top of the hat comes off to reveal a great little spot for some treats.
