Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a great week.
Last week at work, our company organized a company wide volunteer effort called National Day of Caring. All employees across the nation were encouraged to volunteer as a group in the community last Friday.
As some of you may know, I am what they call a virtual employee, meaning I work from home. Therefore, it is a bit different when trying to do things in the office like this. So, for us virtual folks, they set up a couple opportunities one being drawing picture(s) for children who are in shelters, via Draw-A-Smile.
Well, I do not draw well, but I can cut and glue paper so I got to work creating my first picture for the kids.
This measures 12" square. The background is 2 different digital papers from the
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Man Oh Man and
Christmas Brights Circles and Spots paper packs that I printed first. I didn't want to many glued pieces since I needed them to hold up not knowing where they would be sent to or where they would be posted.
The cute
dinosaurs are from the
SVG Cutting Files store
here as are the trees and volcano. I added the sentiment by typing and printing it on the computer. I love how it turned out. But it was a bit boyish for me.
So, I got to work making something for what I think the little girls might like to see.
The adorable little
Fairy Girl is from
SVG Cutting Files.
And I couldn't stop there...this one might just be my favorite.
My heart breaks to think that there are children in shelters of any kind, but hope these pictures might make a few of them smile while there.
Have a crafty day!
