Do you see Green?

Yes, I am seeing green. I think I pulled out every piece of green paper to find just the right shades to make this card.
Only a few weeks to St. Patrick's day and thought I should make a few "lucky" cards.

I found this digital image over at Digital Delights. It was actually a freebie last week in the black and white version. I downloaded it, printed it and start to color. Well, I decided, I did not have the all the right marker colors to make it look good. Rather it looked like a first grader had done it.

So I went back to Digital Delights because they usually have a pre-colored version for sale. Sure enough and only $2! It was well worth it. In a matter of a couple minutes  I had downloaded the colored image and printed it.

I saw a tip on someone's blog- I am so sorry I cannot remember who, but they used their finger to dob on some versa mark ink and then lightly dusted with embossing powder to kinda give the edges some sparkle. I am not sure I totally like this yet but it is growing on me. You can see I did a second card without it.
For a 3D effect, I printed the image a second time and trimmed out key parts like the hat, shows and shamrock. I attached these over the first image with pop-dots.

I will be linking this over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge
and Celebrate the Occasion

Here's how I did it...
Basic A2 card size with Green card stock
Pattern paper is Reminisce
Digital image printed on cream card stock
Chalk for edges and gold embossing powder.
Sentiment inside card "Kiss Me I'm Irish" from Scrappy Moms Simply Charmed Stamp set

It's a Tweet day!

Hey everyone!-- I am still jumping with excitement due to all the great news yesterday. My mind is spinning with what I want to get done.

My Pink Stamper is having a challenge today so don't miss out. Here is my feathered friend card.

I found this adorable chick in the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge. I really need to go back to that cart and take a closer look.

Here's how I did it...
Standard A2 size card
Pattern paper from Heidi Grace
Chick and layers cut at 2.5" from Once Upon a Princess, p. 63
Side tag cut at 2.25 from Once Upon a Princess, p.63
The green tag shadow is cut slightly larger since this cut does not have a shadow feature for this cut
EK border punch
Bloom dots Cuttlebug Folder
Sentiment from My  Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp set.
A few doodles with my gel pen and some accent chalk
