Baby Step card

This is another step card that I have been working on. Couldn't post it before now since I didn't want the recipient to see it early. I think I am in the clear now so I can share it with you now. 



I am really happy with how it turned out. Mind you, it was not a card that came together fast. No, I played with it for a few hours before I got it looking exactly how I wanted it.

Here's How I Did it...
Basic side step card when folded measures 4.25 x 5.5
Paper is from Lasting Impressions and my scrap box
Ek punch to create the bottom of the dresser
Drawers are just strips of card stock cut to fit with tiny brads for knobs
Bear/layers cut from Christmas cartridge
Mobile on crib is the top of a bird cage from the Songbird cart sized on gypsy
Stars from CM border punch
Crib and dress/layers from Baby Steps cartridge
Scraps of lace, ribbon, chalk, glitter pen to accent the card
Sentiment is from Scrappy Mom Stamps Special Delivery set

Cricut 360 Challenge #14 Welcome Baby

This week the challenge over at Cricut 360 is Welcome Baby. The challenge is to use any Cricut cartridge to make a baby card, but use white, embossing, and pastel colors.

One of my favorite baby type carts is Baby Steps.
I embossed the white paper and then lightly rubbed over it to give a blue effect to the raised dots.

Base card cut using elegant Edges sized to 4.25" x 5.5" on my gypsy
Baby clothes/layers cut at 3" from Baby Steps
Swiss dots embossing folder
Ribbon from Stampin Up
Button brads from my stash

Vroom Vroom

Here is a quick card for the E.A.D color challenge: Spring Fling.
The Baby Steps cartridge is adorable and has tons of fun stuff on it. The Font button and Font Shadow buttons hold a jackpot of special little cuts that could easily be missed. Here is just one that I had to try right away.

Bunnie/layers cut at 2.75" from Baby Steps, p. 58
Bunny face stamped with Peachy Keen Critter Faces stamp set
Base of card cut from Birthday Bash to measure 4.25" square when folded
Brads for the wheels
Bakers twine, purple ribbon and a button from my stash
Sentiment from My Pink Stamper Boy Crazy stamp set
Stickles and pop dots
