Getting Ready for Turkey Day

Yes, I know, it isn't even Halloween yet. But never too early to start on those Thanksgiving day cards. I was inspired by the Scrappy Moms Stamp Challenge to dust off the Doodlecharms cart for a project. I don't use this cart as much as I should, but it clearly is a good standby. A great selection of cuts. I think this was my second cartridge I ever owned.

More Sneak Peeks and Give-a-Ways

Another day of sneak peeks for my All year Round stamp set. The whole set will be revealed and ready for purchase on Monday.

This little trick or treater is from the Mini Monsters cartridge. I used the card feature and cut it at 5.5" and then added all the layers on the front cut at the 5.5" also. The treat bag is from Doodlecharms and the cute face is from PKS.

Less than 24 hours to the Grillin' n Chillin' Bug Hop part 2!

Throwback Thursday Challenge

I have been traveling this past week for work and therefore have not had any time to get a post up, but this week I should be back on track now that I am home again.

While I was gone my new Cricut Expression 2 arrived!!
I can't wait to start playing with it. It will have to wait another day though. Once I got back home on Friday, I gathered my scrap supplies and road tripped for 6 hours to my Aunt's house in northern MN with my friend to scrap and relax for three days.

I don't think I got to bed before 2 am each night. Now it is time to pack up for the trip home in the morning.

Here's a card I scrapped the other night for the Throwback Thursday Challenge.

Here's How I did it...
Base cut from CM Reminisce Cart- welded two together to make card base.
Cut the same shape just a bit smaller for the mat.
Dog is cut from Doodlecharms at 3.5"
Tag cut from Doodlecharms
Added some ribbon, doodles with my gel pen and a squiggle eyes

Yeah it's Friday and an extra long weekend!

Yeah!! It's Friday and I am ready for a long weekend. And yes, I have Monday off work for President's Day. 

Can you guess what I will be doing? Yup- you guessed it, I will be in my little craft corner with my Cricut and Gypsy.

I was inspired to make a birthday card by a challenge over at Jitterbuggin.

 

Earlier in the month I had gotten the Best of Pixar cartridge. It has the cutest cuts of the little girl, Boo from Monsters, Inc., that I thought would be perfect for this birthday card. She is so sweet you can't help but smile when you look at her. Can you hear her giggling?

I have to say, I thought cutting her at 3" was a pretty good size, but boy, are those little socks and arms tiny when they cut. Almost lost a couple of them. 

Don't ya just hate that when you cut small pieces, take them off the mat to glue everything to your project only to discover you lost the top of an i, the shadow of a t or in my case, a little girls sock.

I search my clothes, the floor, and my chair and then finally give and re cut it. Just when I am done, what do ya know, that lost piece reveals itself. LOL! Happens every time. I should just re-cut it from the start.
