Jaded Blossom June Release Day Four- Retirement

It's Thursday and day four of the June Jaded Blossom release week. 
What a great week and so many fantastic ideas using these new stamps and dies. 

I know I am always looking for sentiments for cards for coworkers, well now there is a stamp set devoted to just that. 

For my card today, I created a special pattern paper and used the same stamp pad to die my ribbon to match.

I used the Hibiscus and Spring Bingo stamp sets to create a pretty pattern paper. I then cut strips using the JB flag 2 dies. I layered a border on top of those strips using the Border dies and finishing it with my ribbon. 

To get the right color ribbon, I used a piece of tea died ribbon I had in my stash and rubbed it across the ink pad I used for my flowers. An hour later when it was dry, I had a piece of custom colored ribbon!

Stamps are a great way to customize pattern papers.

I have two fun projects for the hop today.
First up is this super cute munchkin which can be found in the  SVG Cutting Files set
called Oz Best Friends

I added a PKS face before attaching him to the base which was made using the Scallop Slider and Topper Die. I stamp the sentiment form the Special Yellow Brick road stamp set onto a tag made with the Flag Die 2.

Next I did a treat bag using the new Flying Monkey from the SVG Cutting Files set called Sock Monkey Set.

A simple bag topper using one of my all time favorite dies, the Fancy Topper Die.

I added a banner withe a sentiment, also from the Yellow Brick Road stamp set.  The banner die is from the Candy Charms and Banner Die set.

SVG Cutting Files Color Challenge- Let Freedom Ring!

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, this month we a color challenge for you. Our spin on it is that you make a project using only 3 colors. You are allowed to use black and white as your freebie colors.  It can be a card, treat box, anything.  Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files. 

Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by July 14. As always, there is a great prize up for grabs. 

This is the perfect time to do those patriotic cards using the red, white and blue. I used one of my all time favorite dies cuts, Chibi Uncle Sam. 

I also used the smaller dies from each of the Jaded Blossom Flag Die and Flag Die 2 as well as the Mini Tag dies for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the JB Celebrate America stamp set. I added a die cut of a star with some twine. The star die is from My Creative Time All Around Holidays stamps and dies.

All the papers are form Doodlebug's 6x6 Patriotic parade pack.
