Hola!

Happy Cinco de May!
Wow, I have lots going on and coming up for all of you.
I am working on a blog hop with some great designers and I will be sharing all the details over the weekend as to how you will be able to participate as well.

AND, Oh my gosh, it is Natl Scrapbook day/weekend in less than 24 hours! I hope you will stop by Frosted Designs and participate in all the fun games and fun starting Friday night. I am hosting a special challenge over there so watch for that.

I received the Bug Magazine in my mail and I was published!
I am working on another post to share the project that was published.

All kinds of fun stuff happening.

Now onto today's Cinco de Mayo card.
I had inspiration from the Peachy Keen challenge and will also be linking it up to the Creative Cutter Room challenge today.
I had some new stamps from Scrappy Moms and Peachy Keen that I wanted to try. Don't you just love that little mustache on this little guy- it's a PK stamp!

Hoo's Birthday is it??

I am not sure HOO's Birthday it is today, but was inspired by a few different challenges to make this "Hootie" Birthday card.

If it is your Birthday- than I send you Birthday Wishes!

The challenges had me following a sketch, being inspired by an image (pinks and stripes), adding a tag and using a cut from the Storybook cartridge.

This card is a bit larger than an A2,  but fits into a business size envelope just perfectly.

I will be linking this to the following challenges...

Here's how I did it....
Card base using Lasting Impressions card stock cut to 8" x 8.25"; fold in half
All other paper is from my scrap stash
Purple scallop squares cut at 2" from Storybook cart, p.30
Circle center punched using CM circle punch
Owls/layers cut at 2" from Hoot "n" Holler cart
Hoot sentiment from My Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp set and my own printed on my computer
Inside sentiment from My Pink Stamper Everyday Sentiments stamp set
Squiggle eyes and doodles with my gel pen
