This weekend, the Design Team will be featuring projects all about Christmas! I cannot believe that Christmas is only 5 months away!!

We hope you enjoy all of the great projects the Design Team has done and find some Christmas inspiration to start those holiday projects a bit early. 

I did a rectangle card. It measures 6.25" x3.25".

I used kraft paper for the base. All papers including the cute pattern background paper is from EP Seasons Greeting paper pad, I then cut the image of the children and the tree from Cricut's A Child's Year cartridge and adhered it with pop dots.
The sentiment is from my very own BugBites stamp set, Mistletoe, that I stamp in evergreen ink. I then added a little button and it's ready to send.

Now I don't want to keep you waiting, there is so much more to see from the DT.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday # 760 -Back to School

It's Monday- but today is a good Monday- NO WORK!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Today is another Monday Challenge at Fantabulous Cricut .

I almost didn't get this card done. Remember, I don't do the back to school thing. These school challenges really stump me.

But then, as I was fretting, an idea popped into my head so I had to get it done asap before I would forget. It went together literally in 25 minutes.

I purposely left the embossing messy so it would look like a used chalk board.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge

Well, I am really tired from the busy week on my feet. Today I was out in the heat for 12 hours at my golf event. I have finally gotten back to the hotel, had a little room service and put together a quick card with die cuts from my stash that I brought with me. This card was done for this weeks Birthday Sundaes Challenge- Anything goes.

I tried the Crackle Accents on the round background shape to see how much texture it would really create. I think it gives it a unique finish.

Cricut 360 Challenge #3 Parents Day

Yeah! It's Friday.

It's time for Challenge #3 over at Cricut 360. Boy,there were so many great projects from last week. 

This week the challenge is Parents Day. 

Here is my simple card, that sums it all up for me.

Frosted Designs Friday Challenge- Friends/Friendships

Happy Friday! 

This week over at Frosted Designs, the Friday challenge is all about friends. The DT was challenged with coming up with a project that represents friends or friendship. 

You really need to hop over there to see what the DT has come up with. They are truly amazing. 

So for this challenge I did a a special card I can send to any friend at any time just to say I am thinking of them. 

I recently picked up a new stamp that looks like clouds and thought it might add to this design but still keep it simple. 

Here's how I did it....

Splish Splash and a Chillin' Bug Hop is almost here!

Wow- we go from spring to hot and sticky summer. Today is actually quite nice, a bit of sunshine and a light breeze. But when it gets steamy, thisis what looks good to me. Sitting in a tube in the middle of the lake. 

You could say this little gal is Chillin'!

She is just in time for the Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop coming your way on Saturday. 

I had the bug hop theme in mind when making this card, but then saw the challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge this week  is to use the card feature from any cart.

So I decided to give that a try. I also stickled on all the white lines in the water paper to make is shimmer like when the sun hits the water at the lake.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #59 - Teacher Feature

FCCB Challenge #59, Create a project for that special teacher with the color red on it. 

Oh my goodness, this was a real callenge for me. 

I don't have kids in school anymore, or should I say young kids in school, therefore, don't really do any teacher type projects like I see alot of you do.

But then I remembered my fellow DT member, Kate ( who is really awesome), doing something with the notepad paper cut from Locker Talk and my idea was born.

I dedicate this card to some of my scrapper friends & family that are teachers...Melissa, Erin, and Norine. You girls rule!!!

I have to admit this took me more time than I thought it would since this was the first time I used my gel pens and gel pen holder in my cricut. I had to keep reminding myself to not rush when changing the pens and the blade or it would mess everything up.

I used my gypsy (or you can use DS) for these cuts and pen drawings. 

Here are the steps I did for the white notepad paper.

• Hide outline, circles of shape along with the lines that will be pink
• Load blue gel pen into cricut
• Press cut to draw blue lines- do not unload mat
• Replace blue pen with the pink pen, be careful to not move the housing
• Hide lines that are blue on the image and unhide the verticle lines that will be pink
• Press cut to draw the pink lines-do not unload the mat
• Replace the pen with the blade, be careful to not move the housing
• Hide all lines on the image and unhide the outline and circles
• Press cut to cut the final shape.

Phew- that was alot of steps.
