I am still working to keep up with all the challenges out there.
Exploring Cricut has a challenge to kick off the year called Winter Wonderland. The challenge is to create a winter scene or activity.
I totally started with something different before I ended up with this design. It is a very simple winter scene but one many of us see it everyday out our window...the birds and the squirrels looking for nibbles under the snow.
Have a great Day!
Here's How I did it....
All paper from my stash
Card base and mat are from CTMH Art Philosophy cut at 5.5"
Tree and layers cut from Jolly Holidays cart
Birds and Squirrel from Winter Woodland cart
Ribbon from Stampin' Up
Sentiment from CTMH Bundled Buddies stamp set
Stickles for that glittery snow on the tree branches

It's Christmas- Oh My!
Well, it's Christmas Eve- I can't believe where the time goes. Just took some gooey caramel monkey bread from the oven so the house smells really good right now. Can't wait for it to cool so we can eat it. It's the beginning of two days of lots of food.
Here are a couple more cards I did for the holidays. Trying to use some of the stamps I have in the drawer. I remember when I got this stamp- it was last year at a small stamp shop in NYC. It was a very tiny shop, but they had tons of stamps. She looks like she is taking a break from baking Christmas Cookies.
This next card is very simple using the Cricut Lite cart, Jolly Holidays. I can't take credit for the design. This was a quick card that Helen over at Cricut Crafting Room did last year. But it was so cute and simple, I had to replicate it. Have a wonderful day filled with gifts and cookies.

First Official Challenge
My Pink Stamper has 2 openings for her new design team.
One of the requirements is to have a blog--check! So, I figure, why not give it a try. Nothing to lose, but it gives me something to write about not to mention a new card or two to share with you. Yes, I did two cards. I had two ideas but could not decide until I actually did them.
I had the idea I wanted to do a valentine's card with a cartridge you would not necessarily think of using for such a card.
The two cartridges I chose are recent additions to my collection, Jolly Holidays and Four Legged Friends. I have posted them both below.
Can you guess which one I submitted?
Here is the challenge.
Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using Robyn's favorite colors......
Pink, Green, Brown
(other optional color of your choice)
Card #1 Recipe ~ Friends Fur-ever
Card is a basic 4.25" x 5.5". I used all Bazzill card stock except for the cute pattern paper which is from American Crafts
Base of the card is pink
The pattern paper is cut 4" x 5.25"
The green paper is 4.25" x 1.5" and then I put it through the crimper for texture. I always forget about the crimper, but it is a cool tool. Once you crimp the paper, it will be closer to 4".
The cute dog and all layers is cut at 4" from the Four Legged Friends cartridge
Add a bit of ribbon, some brads, and a cute sentiment from from My Pink Stamper Punny-licious and Even More Punny-licious (the paw print) stamp sets and you have a cute card.
I Also added some glossy accents to the eyes and nose, a pearl to the collar for a bit of "doggy bling" and some doodle accents. This is all personal preference.
Card #2 Recipe ~ Two Hearts
Card is a basic 4.25" x 5.5". I used all Bazzill card stock except for the cute pattern paper which is from American Crafts
Base of the card is whit.
The pattern paper is cut 4" x 5.25" then I punched a border on each long side.
Punched another solid piece of Pink paper and cut to 1" layering on top of the patterned paper. To cover the seam, I added two ribbons, trying to meet the challenge for the use of the color green.
The cute girl and all layers is cut at 3.75" from the Jolly Holidays cartridge.
I did use my Gypsy to hide the face features so I could use my Happy Lashes Peachy Keen stamp set.
I also cut off the xmas ornament the girl was holding in her hand and added the two heart brads.
A few more sparkles of rhinestones using the i-rock for her earrings, some button brads on her coat and stickles on her headband and coat trim and add her to the card with pop-dots.
The sentiment and heart sprinkles where added using My Pink Stamper Love-alicious and Simply Sweet Occasions stamp sets.
Check here to see which one I posted as well as all the other fantastic cards. It's number 111.

First Blog Post
Welcome to BugBites!
This is the first post to this blog and the start of a new adventure for me. Though challenging to figure out how to get all the parts working, I am excited to be able to have a place to share ideas and hopefully inspire you to make your own unique creations.
We are expecting an ice storm tomorrow so thought this card was appropriate.
The cute little skater is from the Jolly Holidays Cricut cart along with a stamped border from CTMH. Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Winter Punnies stamp set.
Heated liquid applique gives her hat and dress border a fuzzy look.
