For the Birds

I am still working to keep up with all the challenges out there.
Exploring Cricut has a challenge to kick off the year called Winter Wonderland. The challenge is to create a winter scene or activity.

I totally started with something different before I ended up with this design. It is a very simple winter scene but one many of us see it everyday out our window...the birds and the squirrels looking for nibbles under the snow.

Have a great Day!

Here's How I did it....
All paper from my stash
Card base and mat are from CTMH Art Philosophy cut at 5.5"
Tree and layers cut from Jolly Holidays cart
Birds and Squirrel from Winter Woodland cart
Ribbon from Stampin' Up
Sentiment from CTMH Bundled Buddies stamp set
Stickles for that glittery snow on the tree branches

A Winter Challenge Card

More than favors always has there weekly Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge and this week the challenge is to create a project using the Winter Woodland cartridge. This is one of my favorites during the winter season.

I was designing this on my gypsy and realized everything was getting so small so I bumped it up to a 5x7 card. I used lots of pop dots to get some depth to the scene.

Happy New Year!!

I have been working the last several years trying to get all our family vacation photos in albums so I can begin working on day-to-day pictures. Well, this will be a project that I fear will take years. Therefore, I decided rather than work strictly on family vacations one album at a time, that I would mix in current day events such as Christmas. I found it fun to work on something current not to mention working with all the cute holiday papers that are out there. So, here is my layout for this years holiday photos. This was my first full design on my new Gypsy.

Deer are cut from Christmas Noel and embossed with the cuttlebug
Icicle border cut from Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art
All remaining cuts from Winter Woodlands

Couldn't finish it without adding lots of Stickles.
