My Pink Stamper Blog Hop and Challenge

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper had a blog hop last night- wow what great things from that DT. Everyone can participate...once you finish the hop, create any project with a Mother's Day theme and link it up.

I have been trying to think of other ways to use the Croc Rules cart. It's so super cute. Last night before I turned the lights out, I was browsing the cart and came across this cute flower border. Who knew among all those crocodiles, there were flowers. Oh, the ideas starting to run through my head.

So after al lthose ideas, this is what finally materialized.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

My first project with a toilet paper roll - oh my!

OK- I have to admit, I have never been a fan of the toilet paper roll projects. There are several out there and they are all fabulous, but it just never struck me as something to use for a craft project.

However, the cool thing about challenges is that they push you to think outside the box and try new things. So here is my first project using an empty toilet paper roll.
I actually found it fun to try and do something with it. I like how it turned out and may even look at other ways to use this new found craft item.
When flattened, the roll is the perfect size to hold a gift card. So this will make a nice valentine gift card holder. I punch some holes on each end and tied it up with Twine from the Twinery to keep the gift card from falling out.

I am linking this up to the following challenges out there....
Peachy Keen Challenge- use an empty toilet paper roll- what started it all!
Cooking with Cricut- red, white and pink, Child's Valentine
My Sheri Crafts- use two hearts challenge
More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday- love challenge
Little Scrap Pieces-  use pink
FCCB- use a heart on your project

If you hop over to these challenge blogs you will see amazing projects from all the Design teams. You can't help but be inspired to create and  join in on the fun!

Here's How I did it....
Empty toilet paper roll
Paper all from my scrap box

Face is stamped using Peachy Keen Stamps

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday # 82 - Purple People Eaters

Happy Monday!!!

If you are looking for the Cricut 360 Blog Hop post and a chance to win one of my stamps sets, click here. If I get to 500 followers, I get to draw 2 winners! only 5 to go.

I am glad to be  home and looking forward to the coming weekend when I join my 9 friends for a long weekend of scrapping!. I can't wait.

This week over at Fantabulolus Circut, the Challenge Me Monday Challenge is Purple People Eaters
We have a great sponsor that allowed the design team to use 1 of 2 different SVG file sets for this challenge.
I choose to use some of the little characters from the Spooky Friends svg set from SVG Attic.

There are 9 different files, not bad for the one low price for all of that.

So for my project, I decided to do a step card, but made it a "biggie" since I wanted my little costumed friends to be big enough. So this card when folded flat measures 5"x7"

I am really happy with how it turned out. I added some cuts from my Cricut as well as some 3D stickers I had in my stash. Not sure I would trick or treat at that spooky looking house.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge. please be sure to swing by SVG Attic to see the cute files they have for you.

Here's How I did it....

A little Halloween greeting

Well, it is Wednesday and I am on a plane to Hartford, CT. Love the east coast this time of year. The fall foliage is really pretty.
I am hoping to get to an AC Moore or Hobby Lobby store. I see on the Cricut website, that they are a retailer that is suppose to have the Country Fair cartridge. So is Michael's and Joann's but neither of them seem to have it. I am crossing my fingers.

For today- I have this cute little Halloween card. I forgot how many cute cuts the Hello Kitty Cart has.
The paper is from my stash and the ribbon I picked up from Michael's. Love my little sentiment from the BugBites Magic Spells stamp set. It is one of my favorites.

Stay tuned for the Cricut 360 Spooky Halloween Blog Hop coming up Friday. I will have some blog candy and a special price on my stamps!

May Your Dreams Come True

Well, it is the weekend officially.
As you read this today, I am in a plane on a long flight home from Barcelona.

I will post pictures when I get home.

In the meantime, here is a little card to cheer anyone up that might be having a bad day or just to say HI to a friend. The sentiment is perfect for how I feel while traveling t his week. I am very lucky to be able to have the opportunity to see other parts of the world and meet such wonderful people.

I actually has this card base with sentiment stamped for another card I was making months ago. Half way through my design changed and I had started over. So, I stuck this started card in my scrap stash.
So I pulled it out and finally decided on this cut from Once Upon A Princess cartridge.

Happy 4th of July from BugBites and my Cricut

I just have a few more holiday cards left to get in the mail.
I am back to using my Cricut - Yeah!
I like to stamp, but love using my Gypsy and Cricut to create.

I still have some scrap 4th of July paper left so I used it for the background on this card.
Because it is a busy pattern, I decided on a simple cut from A Child’s Year.

Added a sticker border from a 4th of July sticker sheet I picked up by Memory Keepers and added it to the top.

I am happy how it turned out.

I am going to link this card up to the following challenges.
Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge-Patriotic Pride
Craft Us Crazy- Red, White and Blue
Wacky Wednesday Challenge – Red White and Blue

I encourage all of you to give these challenges a try- it is so easy to find scraps of red, white and blue paper in you drawer and through them on a card to see what you get. Can’t get easier than that.

Here’s How I did it…

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #61

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather is finally nice in MN so I was able to get outside and pull a few early weeds from my flower gardens. I love this time of year when everything is new and growing. It means my flowers will be blooming soon and we will have some color in the yard again.

As with every  Monday, It is time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. This week the DT was challenged with the theme of Blue Skies; make a project with the color blue and a cloud shape.

I used a cloud shape from Once Upon a Princess. This cart is great for tag shapes to use for sentiments.
This is also the first cut with the new E2- yes, it finally came and I have been getting it synced up so I can begin using it full time. The Just a Note cart has the cutest designs on it.
I actually used the bunny with umbrella cut, cut the umbrella top off and added the balloon instead.

I hope you will find some time to create a project for this theme and link it up over at Fantabulous Cricut. I can't wait to see what you create.

Here's How I did it....

It's Monday and time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday project.
The challenge this week is to make a project with at least three flowers on it.
This card could be used for Mother's Day, given to a friend, as a Birthday card, and more.  I may have to make a stack in multiple colors to have on hand. I really like the little girl. Found her on the Block Party Lite Cartridge.

The trick is to cut her big enough since there are many little pieces.

I would love to see what you can create for this challenge. Click here to link up so I can see what you can do.

Girl Power - Guest Designer!

Hey everyone! I am the guest designer today over at Our Creative Corner.
The challenge this week is Girl Power and we are to include a hand made paper flower, ribbon and some bling. I pulled out the Once Upon a Princess cart and came up with this card. It is a BIG card, 5x7. I love the sentiment because it is fitting for a Birthday card, Graduation card, or any special moment in any girls life.
The hard part for me was to come up with a creative way to make a handmade flower other than just cutting it with my Cricut. So I found this great video and ended up making about 6 of them. Super Simple. Like in the video, I added stickles around the edges of the flower for more sparkle.
Hope you hop over to Our Creative Corner and join in on the challenge this week. I would love to see what type of flowers and bling you use.

Here's how I did it....
All paper is scraps from my stash
Girl/layers cut at 5" from Once Upon a Princess, p.26 & 37

Music in the Air- My Pink Stamper Challenge

It's the weekend - yeah!!!
I have another quick post for you today. Last night was another My Pink Stamper Blog Hop and Challenge.  The challenge is all about spring. My version is not the typical pastel spring colors you might think of, but rather woodsie, bright colors. The reason.. I got a new cartridge and had to play with it. The cartridge is Campin' Critters. OMG- it is so cute. The birds are starting to sing which means spring is near so I thought this bird was perfect for the challenge and goes well with Robyn's new stamp set, Music Notes. The music notes got a bit tiny to cut well so I drew them in.

Have a wonderful Saturday... only 5 days until I go on vacation!

Here's how I did it...

Too Many Hearts?

I found this really cute, what I call GROOVY, paper at Micheal's along with the ribbon and had to figure out something to do with it.
I saw that My Creative Time is having a Throwback Challenge using an older cartridge and hearts. So this is what I came up with.
Maybe I got carried away with all those hearts. What do you think? Too Many?

To keep up with my plan for the blog, I used yet another cartridge I have had for a while and I can't remember if I ever used it before, I don't think I had. It has the perfect little "GROOVY" gal to work with my paper.

How I did it:
Once Upon a Princess Cartridge
~Cut the girl (p.24) and all outfit ( p.40) layers at 4" - I did use my Gypsy to hid the face so I could stamp it.
Pattern paper from Michael's~ by Anna Griffin
Peachy Keen  Happy Lashes stamp set for face
My Pink Stamper Love-alicious stamp set for sentiment
Ribbon from Michael's
Hearts punched from Creative Memories heart border punch
Paper scraps from my scrap box
