DCD Challenge- Happy Holidays!

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week the theme is Happy Holidays. This weeks Challenge will run for two weeks. so you have plenty of time to link up those holiday projects.
I finished up and mailed my Christmas cards today. I love birds and especially cardinals this time of year. They are so pretty. So I just had to use this cardinal cut file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons for a holiday card.

I started with a background mat filled with a digital paper, also from Pretty Paper, Pretty ribbons and then layered a shape on top I found in the Silhouette store.

Next I added the cut file and printed.  From t here, I cut out out the bird, parts of the leaves and some of the berries and added them on top. Because I was making several of these cards, I didn't have time to cut and piece all the parts. So this was a nice alternative. It still gives me the 3D feel that I love about cut files, but cut down on my time so I could get some baking and holiday shopping done.
I did the same on the inside, just didn't add the bird to it.

I finished it off with some stickles accents on the berries and some doodles with my white pen. The sentiment is from My Creative Time.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week to see the wonderful DT inspiration projects. I cant wait to see what you link up.

Last minute stocking stuffer idea!

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, the theme is anything Christmas/Winter. Project must include a a file from SVG Cutting Files.
Be sure to link your project at the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by January 14. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store.
If you are looking for a quick last minute gift idea or stocking stuffer, I hope this might help you out.  A nice bottle of scented soap and a pretty tag is all you need.
I started with a tag base using the Jaded Blossom tag die. I typed the sentiment on my computer, printed it on the card stock and then used the second die to cut it out being careful to position the sentiment on the side.

The snowman is a file from the SVG Cutting files store here. It is one of 3 in the set. A real bargain in my opinion. I added a shadow layer behind him and then added foam tape to pop the snowman up a bit.  A little twine and some gems completed my little tag. I tied the tags around some hand soap I got at the craft store for $1 a bottle.

I gave these little holiday treats to my friends I bake holiday cookies with each year.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your holiday themed projects.

Die Cuttin' Diva Tag Challenge

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week we have a tag challenge for you.

I love baking this time of year and sharing goodies with friends and neighbors.
For my project I used an svg file from SVG Cutting Files called Gingers and layered it on top of a tag using the tag die from Jaded Blossom.
The subway art style background is a stamp also from Jaded Blosson.
Some stickles and a red ribbon and I am ready to attach this to a bag of Christmas Treats.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week to see the wonderful DT inspiration projects. I cant wait to see what you link up.
