Animated Blog Hop

Let's Get Animated!!
Welcome to the Animated Blog Hop Event!!

How fun is this going to be?  Cheery, Bright and Animated, we have a great Hop lined up for you!

If you just happened to stop by, the blog hop begins over at Jaded Blossom
You'll want to start at the beginning to not miss a thing!
As always, this hop is sponsored by Jaded Blossom & SVG Cutting Files.

My animated character is Russell from the movie Up. He is adorable with his scout uniform and round face.
When I think of scouts, I think of the wilderness and camping.
Can't go camping without a s'more kit. So, I present this fun little s'more kit.

The box itself is a gable box svg file found in the SVG Cutting Files store.
I added a generic window shape to the front and added some acetate so my treats wouldn't fall out.
I made my sentiment tags using the JB Mini Tag Dies 2 and the JB Got S'mores? stamps.

Now here are a few things to know about this hop and getting free files.

This hop will run for 48 hours, unlike our typical 24 --- so don't rush, enjoy the projects and make sure you follow and play along according to the guides below!
Hop ends PROMPTLY on Saturday 9/27 at 11:59pm PST

Digi My World Halloween treats.

Hey there, hope everyone is having a great week. It's design day for me over at Digi My World.

So I used some of the fantastic clipart that is in the Digi My World Store.

I know many of you are digital stampers and are awesome at coloring those images, but for me, and I'm thinking a few others, I just don't have the time to color those beautifully detailed images.

So, Digi My World to the rescue.  The store has lots of pre-colored clipart images that you can print and cut just like I did today for my quick Halloween treats.

They look like I spent hours, when in fact they took just a few minutes.

I simply downloaded the Halloween tags clip-art,printed and cut.

I did add a shadow layer in black and then attached it to the lollipop holder which is from MCT.
The sentiments are from Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies 2 and Too cute to Spook.

Digi My World can really make your projects come together in a snap if you don't have the time.

Happy Fall!

Fall is here and it's time to get the pumpkins out.

These pumpkin soap containers are perfect for a little fall decor in the house or as a little treat for the neighbor. A simple tag makes them ready for gift giving.

I love this burlap paper for fall projects. It adds great dimension to my tags today.

Tools I used for the tags: Treat Tag Die, Fall dies, Harvest Sign stamps and some pretty ribbon.

More Okotoberfest treats!

Well, the weekend is almost over. If you saw my post yesterday, you know I was celebrating Oktoberfest with friends.
Well, I did one last treat before heading to the party.
I really wanted a unique way to give the magnets I had made, but didn't want to do a basic card. So I decided it would be fun to decorate a can and then the magnet could just stick to the can.

I found some cans at the dollar store that would be perfect.

I designed the label for the can using digital papers from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons as well as the stein SVG file. I also created the can top in the same way but with the SVG Cutting Files Chibi Okotoberfest file that I used for the magnets.

I attached the label and can top with score tape and filled the can with spiced pecans, recipe here.

The magnets attached to the front and were ready for giving along with the Black Forest Chocolate Cherry Cake I bring each year- It turned out pretty good this year.

Prost!

Prost! Yes, it's Oktoberfest time.
We are celebrating with friends for our annual Oktoberfest party today and that means lots of good food and a bit of German beer.

Each year we do a poster for the party just like small villages in Germany do for their summer festivals.
Everyone in attendance signs the poster.. a nice way to keep the memories of who was there each year.

This year I did the poster using a brand new files in the SVG Cutting Files store, Chibi Okotoberfest kids.
My poster is 12x12. I started by printing the background with the stripes using pattern papers from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
The doily and and banner are from the Silhouette store. I just added the date and year before printing and cutting it.

I used several foam squares to pop up the banner and my German guy.

Now, we can't forget about the girls, so I did some magnets as a little treats for the host and hostess.
These were so simple to do.

I purchased some adhesive magnetic sheets from Walmart, about $2 for 2 sheets. I used the base part of the cute file to cut the magnet part. Just use the magnetic paper setting on the cameo and the magnet sheet on your mat paper side up. It cut like a dream.

Then I just paper pieced like normal adding some cute PKS faces. They measure about 3-3.5 inches tall.
You'll notice a couple beer stein magnets as well. That file is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
Prost!

Fair Fun!

Hello there!
I have "Fair Fun" thank you card to share today.

The Minnesota State fair takes place the last week of August thru Labor day weekend. That pretty much is the end of summer... kids go back to school, football season starts, etc. We typically go to the fair every year.

This year, a friend was kind enough to sent me discounted tickets - yeah!

So to thank her, I did this card using the adorable and perfect Fair Fun files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

I did the print and cut method using my cameo and cut additional items so I could layer them with foam tape.

The card base is from SVG Cutting files here and sentiment from Jaded Blossom Kind Thanks stamp set.

Fall Desk Treats

Hello there!

I picked up some fall scented hand sanitizers the other day at Bath and Body. I know you've seen many versions of the holders out there, but I came across this version on the September Ninth blog here and thought it was so simple and cute.
Well, I got to work and downloaded the file and cut my papers. I used the Jaded Blossom Fall Dies and Jaded Blossom Mini Tags to embellish with die cuts that represent the scent of the soap.

The sentiments are from My Creative Time. These will make cute little treats for co-workers to have on their desks.  I think I need to make a few with a Halloween theme as well. Oh, the possibilities.

Hope you are having a great weekend

No Clowning Around

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
It definitely feels like fall today with the temps hanging just under 60 degrees.

So, I am crafting today, working on some fun projects to share with you soon.

But today, I have had this little gift card hanging around on my desk for quite some time.

Do you recognize the shape?
Well, its the new Jaded Blossom Scallop Slider and Topper die released a couple weeks ago and designed by me!

This is a test project I did for the die design showing how it can hold a gift card.

Other goodies used on my test project were:

Get well wishes

Happy Friday!!

It's design day for me over at SVG Cutting Files. You can never have too many get well cards especially as we  move into the winter months. So, I am starting to do a few of these get well cards to have on hand.
I tried a new technique of weaving strips of paper for my background. Kinda like the effect. There's a lot of white on this card so the texture  helps my cute Nurse Olivia stand out.

She is so sweet with that adorable PKS face. That little smile is sure to make anyone feel better.

Here's how I did it:

Nurse Olivia from SVG Cutting Files
PKS Princess Faces
Jaded Blossom Mini Tags dies 2
Jaded Blossom Get Well Soon stamps

Bee Happy!

Hey there, hope everyone is having a great week. It's design day for me over at Digi My World.
I am using one of my all time favorite clipart files, Cute as Can Bee for my gift card.I simple brought it into the Silhouette design software to add a shadow layer and went to print/cut.

This is a little card that has a treat inside, a lip balm. you can see how the lip balm fits in the spine of the card. The overall card measures 2.5" x 3.5"

I tied it all together with a nice piece of ribbon. I found the tutorial here if you would like to try one as well.

No Lion!

Happy Monday. It's a Jaded Blossom Design day for me and I have a quick project with a treat that I found when on vacation a couple weeks ago in Whistle, BC.

I first discovered the delicious Lion bar several years ago when I was in London. Have only seen them a few times in the US so I was thrilled to find it on this recent trip. It's like a 100,000 bar but better!

I did a simple tag using the Jaded Blossom Treat Tag die and the Go Wild Stamp set and tied it with a simple bow to the chocolate bar. The lion svg file is from Lettering Delights and the stamped face is from the PKS Cute and Cuddly Faces stamp set.

My haunted little house has a purple roof that I created with several scalloped strips using the new Jaded Blossom Scallop Slider and Topper die. Once I had all the strips lined up, I cute the whole thing with the die and folded over the top before attaching to the treat box top.

The window is made using the Card Mat dies and the Candy Wrap dies for shutters.
Of course the bats, spider web, drippy goo and the ghostly greeter in the window are from this weeks release, Halloween Dies. The sentiment was from an older stamp set, Halloween Treats.

Jaded Blossom September Release Day 4- Monster Munchies!

Wow- the week is flying by and we're on day four of the September Jaded Blossom release week and another peak at yet another "spooky" stamp set.

I am using two stamps from the new Monster Candies stamp set to make my little monster treats today.

I started by cutting a couple tags using the Curly Label die and then folded them in  half.
I stamped and colored my little monster stamp before using a 3/4" punch to cut them out.
The scallop circle is from Candy Charms and Banners dies.

The from has the monster and the back has the sentiment stamp. I filled 1x8 bags with coordinating chocolates.

Here is a look at the whole stamp set being featured by the Design Team today.

Jaded Blossom September Release Day 3- Boolocious Bites!

Welcome back to day three of the Jaded Blossom September Release week!
Hope your enjoying allthe creative projects the DT has been sharing this week.

Let's keep the week rolling with a Boolicious treat box.

With the some Jaded Blossom Supplies and the new stamps in this weeks release,  I had a treat box ready to give in a matter minutes.

I used the Mini Tag dies 2 for my tag and then stamped the so cute sentiment from the Pick your Poison stamp set. A must have for your Halloween stamp collection.

I filled the box with chocolates that I wrapped with candy corn wrappers using the Halloween Candy Wrap stamps. I used markers to color in the candy corn after they were stamped. The candy wrap stamps have a space for an additional stamped  image or sentiment so I pulled out my Halloween Candies stamps to add to the wrapper.

Here's a look at the complete stamps and dies showcased today.
