May the 4th be with you!

Happy May the 4th!

Yes, for all those Star Wars fans out there, May the 4th is a fun play on words and a day to celebrate.
So, I decided to do some fun treat bags.
I even dusted off my cricut for this project.

The treat bag is from the Cricut Artiste cartridge.
The die cuts are from a SVG Cutting Files hop a few years ago..sorry, they're no longer available.

I added a hanging charm and sentiment using the Jaded Blossom Candy War stamps and Candy Charms and Banner dies .

Next I filled them all with chocolate of course and tied them up with matching ribbon.

Have a crafty day!!

You can do it!!!

Time to get FIT!
The SVG Cutting Files and Jaded Blossom Design teams have paired up to bring you some health & fitness  inspired projects for this hop.
This hop is ONLY for 24 hours and will end  PROMPTLY at 11:59 PST TONIGHT!

I made a little calendar that sits on my desk to remind me everyday to keep motivated to watch what I eat and exercise.

I used the Diet Success file from SVG Cutting Files to decorate my calendar. Oh, to have a tiny waist like that!

The base of the calendar is a square coaster that I covered with card stock.
You can find the coaster and the calendar's here...all from Jaded Blossom.
I added some encouraging words using the new Fitness stamps released today.

For the stand I used the back from the SVG Cutting Files Easel Back cards.
I used my silhouette to make a square shape and then layered the back on top before cutting.
I finally added a little banner to the top corner using the JB Candy Charms and Banner dies.

To go along with the theme of this hop, Jaded Blossom has released a new set of stamps. Check out the Bundle below!

Now lets See what Annie has made for us. Don't forget to read the guidelines below!

Happy November, um, I mean Movember!
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of mustaches during the the month of November to bring awareness to men's health issues.

My project for this hop is an 8x8 recipe page layout.
This is a newly discovered recipe from a friend and is now a favorite. Therefore, I just had to scrap it.
The SVG Cutting files Mustache Chef is a prefect fit on this page. It's man dip after all! I used the JB Mustache Dies to give the little chef a stache.

I embellished my page with Jaded Blossom dies and stamps....King of the BBQ, Mustache Dies and Candy Charms and Banners dies

Just Chilling

Happy Monday. Today I am over on the Jaded Blossom Blog with s cool treat.

I used a new Jaded Blossom Die released last week.
I stapled two panels together to make a pocket for a chocolate square.

I added a bow around the package and added a couple stamped images. A great way to use up scrap papers.

Here's a list of what I used to embellish my store bought treat bag.....

Third Annual Hello Kitty Hop!

Eeek!  Its our the THIRD Annual Hello Kitty Blog Hop!
Hello Kitty means so much to so many, we hope you enjoy our third go at celebrating her!

This hop is ONLY for 24 hours and will end  PROMPTLY at 11:59 PST TONIGHT!

For my project, I used the Hello Kitty nurse image.

The treat box she is attach to was made using the Buckle Purse file from the Silhouette store. I simply created a front layer, embossed it for texture and then put clear embossing powder over it to give it that faux leather look and shine.

The bag is filled with chocolates that have images from the
Jaded Blossom Friendly Candies stamp set. I attached one of the sentiments to a tag done using a die from the Jaded Blossom Candy Charms and Banner Dies using some black twine.

A Berrylicious tutorial!

Happy Monday!!

Hope you all had a great weekend enjoying some fantastic summer weather. It's my design day over at Jaded Blossom and with that I have a treat project with a tutorial using the Jaded Blossom Lollipop die
In this project, the treat becomes part of the card itself. All you need is some neutral colored paper and the bright colors of the packets do the rest. Of course, a couple fruity embellishments are a must!

Let me show you how I made them.

First, cut out the base shape using the lollipop dieYou can see in the photo, your paper doesn't need to be as long as the die for this project.

Now we will need to cut a second time with the die in order to add the scallop edge on the bottom edge as well.

You will need to flip over your existing die cut so when you cut the second time the faux stitching will be on the right side when folded.

Place the die cut on the die where you want to cut it. It is important to line up the faux stitches on the die cut with the metal die. This helps secure the paper in the die a bit.

When you put it through your die cutting machine to cut this second time, you only need to push it through far enough to cut the scallop edge.

You now have the modified shorter lollipop die cut with a scallop edge on both ends.

I folded the bottom flap up at the first score line from the bottom for the drink packet to fit perfectly.

I used glue dots and bakers twine to hold the flap in place. i finished each card with some fun fruity die cuts and sentiments.

Here is the rest of the cool stuff I used to put this treat together...
