New water color techniques.

I've been playing with some new stamps and trying some new techniques. One of those is using a water brush with my Tim Holtz inks to color in stamped images. I've watched many YouTube videos and have read several blogs so I thank all of you for the inspiration and tutorials.

Here is what I ended up with after several tries. I still have to practice a bunch.

Spooky Greetings!

Happy Friday!

Been playing with some color burst inks this week to get some fall colors for Halloween cards.
It took a few sheets of paper to get the orange blend I was happy with.

I used bits of these orange papers on all four cards below.

I used several different stamps on these cards.
A real mix and match of Halloween stamps.
I found it to be a good challenge to use the same stamp image and create different looks.

Here is the list of goodies I used.

A Tropical Hello!

Happy Friday!
It's my day to share a new project over on the SVG Cutting Files Blog and this week it's a card.

I love the islands and thus paired the little Chibi Hula Girl withe some water color background for this fun card.

The base of the card I used the bubble side cut card base
It's a perfect foundation for my tropical card.

I also used the following to finish the card...

Count Your Rainbows!

Hello! I have a card to share that I did for my DT day over at SVG Cutting Files a couple days ago.
It is inspired by all the rain we have been getting here in Minnesota this week.

My card today features the Let it Rain File set.

I did a simple background watercolor using a stamp pad and then spritzing it with water. I then held the paper at an angle so the watery ink would drip down like it is raining. Seemed like a good backdrop for my gal with her umbrella.

I also used the following to finish the card...

Happy Fourth of July!

Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe 4th of July.

Here are the last few cards I did this year.
I used a digital stamp I had in my collection. Sorry- cannot remember where I got it right now.
I colored it on the silhouette and then did a print and cut.

I used the dame digit image for the cards below. I used a card design from JB designer, Candace. You can see her card here that I used for inspiration. I love this design she did.
I used the JB tags dies 2, card mat dies and celebrate america stamp set once again.

Dancing in the rain!

Happy Friday!
Today is my design day over at SVG Cutting Files  and I have a fun little card to share with you. It features a new file released in the store today.

I have seen and heard so much about the watercolor backgrounds and was inspired by fellow DT member, Lee-Ann to try color burst inks.

Oh my goodness, they are addicting!
I love how this turned out for the base of my card today.
Just sprinkle a few grains of the color burst ink on the paper, spritz with water and watch the magic happen!

I added a few sequins for extra puddle splashes.

Here's what I used on my card today...

Love Always- A SVG Cutting Files Challenge

Hey there Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, this month we have a "Valentine" theme.  Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files. Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by February 14. As always, there is a great prize up for grabs.

I am using a new SVG Cutting File today called Swirl Heart Tree to make a couple cards.

I'm really liking the water color block stamping effect. It gives that nice watercolor blending of colors.
I used it here with a background mat in pink tones.

For this card, I used traditional red colors.
This tree is so pretty and elegant. Perfect for so many different projects.

Here's a list of what I used on today's project......

Skatin' by with a winter hi!

Today is my design day over at SVG Cutting Files and today I am sharing a couple winter themed cards. With the holidays just a few days behind us and still a over a month until Valentine's day, there is still plenty of winter fun to celebrate like sledding, hockey and ice Skating.

The first card features a brand new file in the store now called Chili Skating Girl.

She is so cute. With her little heart on her headband this could easily be a valentines card. Just change the sentiment.

The second card is using an older file from the SVG Cutting Files store from the Winter Kids file set.

I tried a new technique on these cards. I used an acrylic block for stamping, I then selected several different colors of ink pads and rubbed them onto the acrylic block. Next I sprayed the block with a fine mist of water and stamped this wet mess onto my paper. What a cool effect, the colors all bleed together to make a watercolor type background.

I used some dies to cut out the square background before attaching it to my card.

I did a Father's Day card. This card has a pocket on the front to hold a gift card. You can find the card template in the silhouette store.

I used the JB card mat dies to make a "patch" for my sentiment that I  stamped from the
Worlds Greatest Parents stamp set.

Here is a look at the complete sets of stamps and dies being featured by the Design Team today.

Welcome to day one of the Jaded Blossom January Release week!

Hope you are ready for some super cute and fun stamps and yes, a new die!
The first stamp set to be revealed this week is the Lollipops Galore stamp set. It coordinates nicely with this months die, the Lollipop Die

I used the new die to make a thank you treat.
I started by cutting the base with die. I then made a mat using the Card Mat dies.
Next, I added this adorable little girl from the SVG Cutting Files Thoughts of You file set.
This set comes with a boy and a girl, so a two for one deal.

I added my own PKS face with some freckles and some ribbons on those pigtails.

On the inside I attached a small bag of chocolate candies.

Jaded Blossom December Mini Release and Challenge - A Tasty Holiday!

Hello! Jaded Blossom is having a special die release for December!
It's called the Goody Bag Die!

It's officially the holiday season and that makes me think of cookies.
The Goody Bag die works perfectly for small treats like my gingerbread cookies.
I used a die from the card mat dies to make a little window so you could see me cookies in the treat bag.
I then cut and embossed the gingerbread boy from the Gingerbread wishes stamp and die set  to add with foam tape to the front. The sentiment is also from the Gingerbread wishes stamp set which I stamps on a tag using the Halloween Dies.

I used the JB A2 card sleeves to slip in 2 cookies and tie them up with a bow before inserting them into the treat bag.

The Goody Bag Die will be available for sale starting December 1st, 12:00 am
(limited quantities available).
There will be no stamp release this month.

Make sure to head over to Jaded Blossom to see what the rest of the team created.

There is also a new challenge starting and it's Crafter's Choice! Please be sure you check out the challenge rules before linking over at the Jaded Blossom Blog

I'll be back tomorrow with another project using t his new die.

Hi Everyone! Welcome to
Now if you're here from KATE's blog you're in the right place, if you just happened to stop by, you'll want to start at the beginning so you don't miss anything.  I have the complete line up at the bottom of this post.

My hop project today is a Haunted House treat box.

The treat box is a simple, yet versatile box the SVG Cutting Files Simple Treat box

My haunted little house has a purple roof that I created with several scalloped strips using the new Jaded Blossom Scallop Slider and Topper die. Once I had all the strips lined up, I cute the whole thing with the die and folded over the top before attaching to the treat box top.

The window is made using the Card Mat dies and the Candy Wrap dies for shutters.
Of course the bats, spider web, drippy goo and the ghostly greeter in the window are from this weeks release, Halloween Dies. The sentiment was from an older stamp set, Halloween Treats.

I sandwiched two bat dies together for each one with a very thin piece of wire between that I wrapped around my bow.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks release projects as much as we have.
Regular Price for the Release Package is $148.99
