Yeah it's Friday and an extra long weekend!

Yeah!! It's Friday and I am ready for a long weekend. And yes, I have Monday off work for President's Day.
Can you guess what I will be doing? Yup- you guessed it, I will be in my little craft corner with my Cricut and Gypsy.

I was inspired to make a birthday card by a challenge over at Jitterbuggin.

Earlier in the month I had gotten the Best of Pixar cartridge. It has the cutest cuts of the little girl, Boo from Monsters, Inc., that I thought would be perfect for this birthday card. She is so sweet you can't help but smile when you look at her. Can you hear her giggling?

I have to say, I thought cutting her at 3" was a pretty good size, but boy, are those little socks and arms tiny when they cut. Almost lost a couple of them.

Don't ya just hate that when you cut small pieces, take them off the mat to glue everything to your project only to discover you lost the top of an i, the shadow of a t or in my case, a little girls sock.
I search my clothes, the floor, and my chair and then finally give and re cut it. Just when I am done, what do ya know, that lost piece reveals itself. LOL! Happens every time. I should just re-cut it from the start.

Here's how I did it...
Pattern papers from Chatter Box
All other paper from my scrap stash
Boo, little girl, and layers including shadow cut at 3" from Best of Pixar, p. 48
Birthday hat/layers cut at 1.25" from Doodlecharms, p. 110
Scallop circle with shadow cut at 3.5" from Mini Monograms
Birthday sentiment from My Creative time Polka Dot "Surprise" stamp set
Peachy Keen Basic Paper Doll Faces stamp set
EK border punch and CM corner rounder punch
White rick-rack
Bit of bling in her hair with my i-rock
Stickles, green & purple chalk, and doodles with my brown & white pens
I attached the sentiment box and girl with pop dots

I LOVE THIS!!! This is the cutest card! I just got the Pixar cartridge and since I have today off from watching my Grandest Daughters...I am headed to my studio as well. I may have to try this - I'll have to bring my glasses for those small pieces!!!!
