Patriotic Kisses

Happy 4th of July! I have a few treats that I did for some friends and neighbors this weekend.

The first one is using the 4th of July theme wrapped chocolate kisses.
I did a simple treat topper using the JB Scallop Slider and Topper Die.
I added a poem from the JB Celebrate America stamp set and finished it off with 4th of July svg  from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

The next treat is a krispie treat pop. I put store bought krispie treats on paper straws. Then dipped them in white chocolate so I could add colored candies and sprinkles.
Once the chocolate hardened, I wrapped them in treat bags tied with a bow and tag.
The tag is made using the Pretty Papper, Pretty Ribbon Layered Tags 2 and Fantastic Fireworks svg files and sentiment from the JB Celebrate America stamp set.

Hope you enjoy the lovely weekend.

Getting Ready for the 4th of July!

I've been working on some 4th of July cards this week. I am using one of my favorite images from SVG Cutting Files, Chibi Statue of Liberty.
I used traditional red, white, and blue papers which are a bit non-traditional
colors for the Statue of Liberty but I think it works.

Here are two card versions using this cut file.

All papers are printed using Echo Park Sweet Liberty digital papers.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time My Little Firecracker

This card I used digital papers once again but this time they were from Echo Parks 4th of July paper  I also used the Jaded Blossom Flag Die for the banner strips.

Have a crafty day!!

Picnic host gifts.

Good morning. Hope everyone is enjoying this nice long weekend.
We enjoyed a great picnic with family in Northern MN even though Mother Nature decide to rain on us since again.

Sharing a couple treats I took to the picnic for the host and hostess.

For the host, a 6-pack of Veterans Beer where I added a hang tag using the Jaded Blossom wine tag dieI added a the chef from the Cricut cartridge called Block Party.

This little treat box is from the silhouette store as is the Uncle Sam. I scrap lifted this idea from Gwen at This and That. I filled it with some mints for the hostess. It's only about 4" square but so, so cute.

Have a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to everyone.

I am spending time with family this weekend and hoping for a few  nice warm and sunny days.
I did some quick little treats for the youngsters i will see today...a little 4th of July smore mix.
The mix is super easy: teddy grahams or any graham cracker type item, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and M&Ms. Toss together and put into a treat bag. In my case these little red plastic take out boxes.

Of course I had to spruce up the box a bit.
The tag was done using the Jaded Blossom Treat Tage die which I embellished with a sentiment from the Patriotic Candies stamp set and Mini Tag dies before adding my favorite die cut, the SVG Cutting Files Chibi Uncle Sam with a PKS stamped face.

I did a second version with a pretty star from Petty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Grand Old Flag file set.
I think they turned out cute and hope the kids like them.

I wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July!!

SVG Cutting Files Color Challenge- Let Freedom Ring!

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, this month we a color challenge for you. Our spin on it is that you make a project using only 3 colors. You are allowed to use black and white as your freebie colors.  It can be a card, treat box, anything.  Just remember, the project must include something from SVG Cutting Files.
Projects should be linked on the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by July 14. As always, there is a great prize up for grabs.
This is the perfect time to do those patriotic cards using the red, white and blue. I used one of my all time favorite dies cuts, Chibi Uncle Sam

I also used the smaller dies from each of the Jaded Blossom Flag Die and Flag Die 2 as well as the Mini Tag dies for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the JB Celebrate America stamp set. I added a die cut of a star with some twine. The star die is from My Creative Time All Around Holidays stamps and dies.

All the papers are form Doodlebug's 6x6 Patriotic parade pack

I hope you'll join us for this fun color challenge.
