This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is April showers; create a project with an umbrella or hat on it.
There are several cartridges with umbrella cuts and even more with hat cuts. Being that it is April, rainy season, I decided to go with an umbrella cut from the Hello Kitty Greeting cart. I don't use this cartridge very much, not sure why since there are so many cute images on it.
It is hard to see in the photo, but I added glossy accents to her coat so it looks more like those vinyl raincoats.
Please hop over to FCCB to see all the Design Team projects and link up a project of your own. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Here's how I did it...
Card is a standard A2 size
All papers are from my scraps stash
Hello Kitty and layers cut at 4.5" from Hello Kitty Greetings p. 54
EK border punch
Sentiment from Pink by Design Spring has Sprung stamp set
Creative Memories flower punch and hand cut flower stem with a glitter brad for the flower center
Glossy Accents for rain coat
Stickles and doodles with my gel pen

What a great card...Love Hello Kitty and that rain coat is the prefect touch!
I LOVE this! The glossy raincoat was the first thing I noticed! I think I've only used this cartridge a couple of times and each time I see a Hello Kitty creation, I tell myself I must use it more! Your card is adorable - and I really like the little flower you've added too. It's just a perfect touch.
