Happy Monday! Can you believe it is June already. That means it's only a month until the 4th of July! Eeeks--where is the time going!
To celebrate the upcoming summer holiday, the Ginger Snap Scraps DT is posting projects using the new Glory Collection from Authentique. You can find it now in the Ginger Snap Scraps online . Be sure to hop over to the Ginger Snap Scraps blog to see what wonderful projects the DT has put together for you all today. They are amazing!
So- for my project....I did a traditional 4th of July card.
I just love this cute paper. This glory paper is 2 sided and I had a really hard time deciding which side to use but settled on the stripes. The image is cut from A Child's Year cart and I used My Creative Time die and stamps for the mat to anchor the MPS sentiment at the top. The stars in the corner happen to be left over stickers from a Karen Foster sticker sheet.
Don't forget to stop by the Ginger Snap Scrap store as well as the blog to see all the great DT projects today and snag some of this fun paper to start those Independence day cards now!
Here's how I did it...
Card base is on kraft card stock and measures 5" square
Navy blue mat and stripe paper from Authentique Paper's Glory Collection
All other paper from my stash
Rocket boy/layers cut at 2.5" from A Child's Year cart
My Creative Time die and XL Label borders stamp set
Sentiment from My Pink Stamper Freedom Rocks set
Tim Holtz ink for inking edges
Star stickers from Karen Foster
